Val Saint Lambert is Belgian crystal glassware, founded in 1826, with centuries-old master craftsmanship. Alexandra Mendes collaborated with Creneau Int on the rebrand project for Val Saint Lambert.
The rebrand project started by the redesign of VSL logo trademark. A few arrangements were made in the previous VSL logo composition. Starting by making an appropriated typographic choice to implement on the logo lettering. A typeface that adds a classier and fresher appeal, by standing tall, rich, elegant. The middle heritage symbol was retouched so it becomes less overwhelming. The dots on the left and right were removed, avoiding an undesired marine reference. And an important detail was incorporated: the year 1826, marking the beginning of VSL history. Spring color were implemented into the global branding — Fushia, Vert and Blue Marquise, adding a fresh appeal to the brand. These colors were picked up from the VSL crystal lines, as standing out from the white canvas, which is another strong element. VSL logo trademark can now truly translate its heritage!
